Stress pipe calculation and design
KEY PLAN has adopted the following procedure for the design and pipe stress calculation:
- Establishment of design conditions
- Determination of pipe diameter
- Selection of materials
- Selection of fittings, flanges, valves, etc…
- Wall thickness calculation (Schedule)
- Establishment of the support structure
- Stress analysis of pipes (flexibility thermal analysis)
For all these work we have the following tools:
- CAESAR II for pipe stress calculations
- CADWORX PLANT for piping
- AFT FATHOM for pipe sizing
